gw has way better graphics then wow, good pvp but same repetitive maps and style which is boring, shit pve and boring atmosphere( instanced areas)

wow has a more fun aspect compared to gw and pve totally owns gw by millions and the pvp is better in some ways

I do own all expansions, and have a few maxlevels.. I dont regret playing this game, but I regret spending so much money on it. Regard it as a single player game. Few armors, no decent economy and invisible walls that will block your path every time you want to tale a shortcut. Erkib(posted Sun Mar 09 2008)

This game is a huge hit for me. I personally hate grinding and being forced to PVE to build your character for PVP. The mere fact that you can just PVP without worrying about killing x amount of NPC's and instead kill X amount of REAL PEOPLE makes this game a huge hit for me!

I played this game and I loved it at first. Now I dunno like it this much anymore. Graphics are sure cool and gameplay is also nice but I like games in which u have to lvl. WoW is better, but my heart goes to GW because I can accomplish things faster. Getting to 70 is a bitch. Once I get level 40, there's little to no incentive to go farther. But when I get to 20 on Guild Wars, there's still plenty of crap to do.
At 70, it's raid, instance, or nothing.

For the record I play and enjoy both.

Well, I know that most game reviewers favor WoW over GW (and that therangereminem's message saying "gw wins hand-down rating wise" is just plain wrong.). But my point is, it doesn't matter what people think about the game you play. If you enjoy it, that's enough.

I couldn't afford WoW back in 2004. I discovered GW and enjoyed it. I didn't care (and wouldn't have cared now) about what other people say about WoW in comparison to GW (or just WoW in general). I knew most people like it for a reason. I had my own reason why I wasn't playing it. The game (GW) has changed since then and one day I couldn't stand it anymore and tried to find some other games to play. I decided to cut off some of my expense so that I can afford WoW. Now I'm enjoying it and, as before, I couldn't care less about what other people think.

I respect other people's opinions. But to say "this game is better, you're stupid if you're playing something else" is just wrong and unfair. People play what they like. You have no right in the world to judge them.

Most people aren't thou, you might think that they base their self-worth on game they play. And will react then someone has unpleasant points about "their" game. Usually with first-strike tactics.

You loose all rationality when you go down the road "I (play GW, use linux, listen to ipod) hence i am awesome person.". You just cant argue with someone who attempts to maintain his personal integrity by maintaining integrity of things he likes.

Hell, some people WILL quit game when it becomes mainstream for some unpopular game, and some people will only enjoy game they know that millions play too.
